REPLACEMENT WATER PUMP FOR HOLDEN COMMODORE 3.6L VZ VE VF LE0 LY7 LLT LF1 LFW SIDI ALLOYTEC

These kits are made in the EU & come with a 3 year manufacturers warranty!

Manufactured with all new, OE-quality components and 100% factory tested, each Premium Endurance Spec water pump exceeds OE specifications. The outflow OEM & cheaper kits on the market.

  • Precision-ground and permanently lubricated unitized bearing assemblies
  • Unitized seals for exceptional protection against leakage and contamination
  • Durable housings that feature precisely-machined mounting surfaces for proper sealing
  • The latest impeller upgrades engineered for maximum coolant flow
  • Hubs that are pressed on with precision-guided tooling

Cheaper kits on the market often suffer from the following:

  • Heat aging of the elastomeric components
  • Potential boiling of the fluid film between the seal faces
  • Potential distortion of seal face flatness
  • Incorrect shaft or bore concentricity
  • Bearing radial or axial play
  • Incorrect seal installation
  • Excessive vibration due to misalignment of belts, pulleys or a defective fan clutch.

To avoid premature pump failures caused by the seal, manufacturers of premium quality water pumps use seals with the following design features:

  • Face materials are selected that are appropriate for operating parameters, system concerns, and extended pump life.
  • The mating ring of the seal is exposed to the coolant flow to improve the removal of heat generated by seal faces during operation.
  • Since most high-mileage seal failures are caused by time-temperature effects on rubber parts, only upgraded elastomeric materials of the bellows design are used. This helps eliminate any undesirable mechanical conditions in the pump and reduces the effects of heat aging.
  • Seals with Teflon-coated retainers simplify installation and minimize bore/retainer press fit leakage. This is especially critical in machined aluminum pumps
  • Will also suit the following models:
  • Holden Calais
  • Holden Statesman / Caprice WL WM
  • Sedan ute wagon manual and auto / automatic

SAIC wins LA Auto Show Design Challenge

Fri, 29 Nov 2013

China's SAIC, the parent company of Roewe and MG brands (yes, Morris Garages and what used to be Rover), took the top spot in the LA Auto Show Design challenge with its Mobiliant Concept, beating other contestants like BMW DesignworksUSA, Subaru, Mazda, Changfeng, Quoros, and others. The theme for this year's challenge at the LA Auto Show was "Biomimicry & Mobility 2025: Nature's Answer to Human Challenges." Entrants were directed to propose design concepts that integrated the concept of biomimicry into transportation concepts. Quite a challenge and quite an open theme, especially when you consider that last year's theme was pretty straightforward: "Highway Patrol Vehicles in the Year 2025." In 2012 the Subaru SHARC concept took the top prize.
